Some years ago, when sourcing a child's desk for a friend I realised how little imagination there was in children's furniture. Why did a desk just look like a desk? Why should a chair just be a chair? Why not something a child could have fun with, play with and enter into the realms of imagination? Fairytale Furniture Ltd was born and the ideas flooded in.
Fairytale Furniture Ltd is a new company bursting with ideas – over 100 of them! A passionate belief that fun and imaginative play are an essential part of childhood shapes all our designs.
We approach life with a “Why not- what fun?” attitude. Our aim is to produce safe, innovative and exciting furniture which has an element of play. We don't produce reduced sized copies of adult furniture but furniture designed especially to delight children.
We are also passionate about ethical sourcing. Our furniture is made in Poland by adults working in a safe environment and earning a living wage. We have a manufacturer whom we trust to adhere to the same high standards of manufacture and who will never change or substitute materials for a cheaper or less safe option.

We hope the children enjoy the furniture so much that they will want to keep it for their children. It has been designed to be assembled and dismantled easily so that it may be put away, stored or taken on a trip to Grandma’s.
This is so much more than just furniture - it is a special gift as well, a gift that will be played with and enjoyed for years.
